Sean Patrick Abeyta was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. Mr. Abeyta graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in 1993. He then attended the University of Texas School of Law and obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1997.
After being admitted to the Texas Bar in November of 1997, Mr. Abeyta began his own general law practice in Lubbock, Texas. For more than 9 years, Mr. Abeyta practiced law as a solo practitioner in Lubbock and the surrounding counties, where his practice was primarily devoted to family law, criminal law, and personal injury law.
Mr. Abeyta’s extensive litigation experience includes representing clients in all types of contested family cases such as divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, protective orders, and grandparents’ rights. Mr. Abeyta has also defended clients in all types of criminal cases, ranging from traffic citations to murder cases.
Mr. Abeyta joined Bailey & Galyen in February of 2007 as an Associate Attorney in the Family Law section of the firm’s Arlington office.
